General Manager
We are currently looking for an individual to work with us to develop and manage our consulting business operating throughout North America and headquartered in Guelph, Ontario. We offer a variety of consulting services related to organizational and process improvement. We are one of the largest organizations in Canada helping organizations implement ISO-based management systems since 1990.
We are looking for an exceptional person that is interested in growing and becoming an equity partner in the business. You may already own a consulting business or have always wanted to become an entrepreneur. We are looking for a long-term partner in our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead generation of potential client opportunities
- Sales of consulting services
- Delivery of consulting services
- Management of all consulting projects
- Recruitment of consultants
Skills and Experience Required:
- Bachelors Degree or College education in Business Administration or Marketing;
- Understanding of ISO-based management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001);
- At least 5 years of professional sales experience;
- At least five years in the consulting business;
- Demonstrated customer focus and strong relationship building skills;
- Motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit;
- Team-oriented; and ability to multi-task.

The WP1 Practice Leader (PL) is a leader and is accountable for the performance, growth and quality of the consulting staff, clients and overall practice. The PL is expected to work closely with other Practice Leaders to develop an overall portfolio of services and talent to grow the company and effectively serve its clients, consistent with WP1’s standard business practices.
The goal of the Practice Leader is to build on and extend the strategic impact of WP1 consulting services and be known as the “trusted advisor” for our clients in a distinct market.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Key leadership role in the development of business opportunities
- Develop and execute an annual Consulting Practice Operating Plan
- Expand the Consulting Practice Services Portfolio
- Define and implement key operating and performance metrics for the Consulting Practice
- Define, expand and set new operating standards for client communications, consulting service delivery, and quality assurance
- Develop client relationships with the goal of serving as a long-term trusted advisor
- Lead and contribute to consulting projects
- Attract, develop and retain key people to grow the business
- Contribute to the on-going strategy, development and growth of WP1
- Development of the technical requirements of all proposals
